Connections Counselling WA is governed by a diverse, highly experienced professional team of Directors.


Chairman

Rob Douglas

Rob Douglas is Senior Pastor at Maida Vale Baptist Church, where his wife Robyn is also the Children and Families’ Worker.

Rob is an experienced Pastor, and has worked extensively in the community services sector, having managed both general counselling services and those specialising in domestic violence, victim support and financial counselling.

Rob also has experience in marketing and media. He has a graduate certificate in Not for Profit Leadership and Management and Diploma in Theology.

Graeme Robinson

Graeme is the Associate Pastor at Eastern Districts Alliance Church in West Swan, where has served for the past 14 years. He is married to Adele and they have 4 adult children.

He has 30 years’ experience in industry prior to training for ministry. He is a trained conflict coach and mediator with PeaceWise, and Facilitator in Marriage Preparation with Prepare-Enrich. He is passionate about ministry with the elderly and has published a book on ministry to the elderly. He is a member of the Australian Association of Gerontology.

Graeme completed a Bachelor of Theology in 2004, and a Doctor of Ministry at Charles Sturt University in 2015.

Keith Ford

Keith Ford

Keith has been the minister for Preaching and Teaching since early 2012. He stepped out of full time secular employment to take on this position when it became vacant, but has more that 2 decades of lay preaching experience.

He completed a Grad Dip in Divinity in 2015, and continues to study various theological topics in seminaries worldwide via correspondence.  Originally from America and still proudly holding that citizenship, Keith has been in Australia for over 30 years. He is married to Michelle and has two young adult sons.

James Middleton

James has been involved in pastoral ministry since 2004, carrying out roles in youth, young adult, children’s and small group church ministries. He also spent a year as a school chaplain and most recently was Senior Pastor at Craigie Baptist Church, finishing in that role in 2017. He is currently exploring church planting opportunities in the Northern Suburbs of Perth. He has also completed a Bachelor in Theology and is currently studying towards a Masters in Leadership.

James is passionate about seeing people become all they can be and loves journeying with people through life and faith. He is married to Kelsey and lives in Joondalup.

Robyn Donnison

Robyn is a CPA accountant and registered tax agent and has run and owned her own business for the past 15 years. Robyn has experience in treasury positions, not for profit organisations, business and cashflow control and all other aspects of financial management.

Robyn is also an active participant and leader within the musical team at Mundaring Church of Christ where she has worshiped for the past eight years. Over the years she has been involved in various areas of ministry within the churches she has attended including worship, Bethel Bible Studies, musicals, choirs and youth leadership.

Robyn is married to Steve and has three daughters.

Jennifer Turner

Rev Dr Jennifer Turner worked for a number of years as a town planner consulting with local communities but in mid-life trained as a pastor and has served in several denominations, retiring as senior pastor of Dianella Church of Christ in 2007.

She now mentors leaders from various walks of life with a strong interest in these leaders and their organisations proving genuine care in the ups and downs of life. With three sons and eight grandchildren, she has also written extensively from a biblical perspective on everything from what it means to be human to the tensions of letting go of one’s adult children.
